Susan furthered her personal experience with Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner and Master Nutrition Therapy certificates from the nationally acclaimed Nutrition Therapy Institute (NTI) in Denver, Colorado. She is a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.
It’s not about counting calories!
Susan has a passion for delicious whole food cooking, being active in the great outdoors, alternative therapies such as Reiki and Homeopathy and green/sustainable practices in home and community. Holistic Nutrition Therapy incorporates all of these. Susan can guide you in meal planning and therapeutic use of nutritional supplements, but she also can give you a new perspective on how to lesson the stressors in your life, what exercise practice best fits your body type and even how to grow a kitchen garden.
It’s often about helping kids
Susan is especially passionate about helping kids. She works with parents of children in the gifted and twice exceptional communities. She has done extra training and research around ADHD and executive function problems in children, and seen huge improvements in children’s behavior and focus without the use of pharmaceuticals. Susan loves to teach kids about nutrition and cooking. From cub scouts to low-income middle-school kids, she has taught some tough kids and seen their pride in their culinary creations and their desire to learn more about healthy eating and cooking come through.
